“Hi! My name is Su Mẩy. I’m a H’Mong girl from Lao Chai village – born and raised in these beautiful mountains.”
I’ve been guiding travelers like you for more than 6 years now. I speak English (not perfect, but from the heart!), and I love sharing our culture, food, and mountain life with new friends from around the world.
My village is deep in the valley. I walked to school every day on narrow mountain trails, and now I walk with you to show you the same paths – but with stories, smiles, and maybe a bit of local rice wine if you’re lucky 😄
Why I Became a Guide
When I was young, I helped my parents in the rice fields. We didn’t have much – but we had stories. My grandmother told me about the old days, how we farm, how we live with nature. I always listened with big eyes.
One day, I met a tourist who asked me in English: “What is your name?” I didn’t know how to answer! So I started learning English… and now here I am – guiding people, telling them the stories of my people.
For me, being a guide is not just showing the way. It’s showing our life. Our smiles. Our truth. I want you to see the real Sapa, not just the tourist version.
Come Walk With Me!
I lead:
Day Trekking Tours to Lao Chai, Ta Van, and Giang Ta Chai (amazing rice terraces and bamboo forest)
2D1N Homestay Tour – sleep in my house, eat our food, laugh with my family
Free Walking Tour in Sapa town – market, temples, and stories behind the scenes
My tours are always small groups – so we can talk, connect, and take our time. I walk slowly, talk a lot (haha), and make sure you feel like home in the mountains.
